Pesticides/Herbicides
The Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) has prepared this memo to inform the Board of Commissioners and the Public about the use of pesticides, insecticides and herbicides on Township property and guidelines for their use by residents. Improper use and application of Herbicides, Insecticides and Pesticides can adversely impact our local streams and habitats. Upper Gwynedd storm drains, swales and detention/retention ponds all discharge to local water ways with no filters or treatment. Any pollutants that enter the waterways can impact aquatic life and the water we drink.
