Tax Collector

The Tax Collector is an elected official of the Township.  It is the responsibility of the Tax Collector to collect all County, Township, School, and other taxes within the Township which are levied by the authorities empowered to do so. Township/County tax bill is mailed February 1 annually. School tax bill is mailed July 1 annually. If you have a change of mailing address, please complete this form to ensure your tax bills are mailed to the correct address.

Erica Koebert serves as the Upper Gwynedd Township Tax Collector. The Tax Collector maintains a separate office which is located off of the lobby / vestibule on the administration side in the Township Building.

In-person payments can be made during office hours on Monday and Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. During February and March there are no Saturday office hours. Beginning April Saturday office hours will resume from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for the first Saturday of each month.

Additional office hours: March 28th and May 31st 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. And December 31st 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Tax Office is CLOSED on Federal Holidays. Office is closed March 29th, June 12th, 17th and 19th. For the month of January 2025 tax office is closed and open by appointment only.

To pay by credit card go to https://allpaid.com/plc/a005i4.  You will need your Montgomery County & Upper Gwynedd Real Estate tax bill to complete the payment. If you don't have your tax bill, contact the tax collector at 215-699-6689 or by email at ekoebert@uppergwynedd.org to obtain a new bill.  There is a 2.95% processing fee for all credit card payments.

Please note that failure to receive a real estate tax bill does not absolve a taxpayer from paying the tax bill. Please review your mailing address by visiting the Montgomery County Property Records website. If the mailing address is incorrect, please contact tax collector to get your tax bill and update the mailing address.

If you are a resident of Upper Gwynedd Township you pay a 1% Earned Income Tax.  Please be advised that 1/2 % goes to the North Penn School District and 1/2 % goes to Upper Gwynedd Township.

The EMST (Emergency Municipal Service Tax) no longer exists but was replaced with the LST (Local Service Tax) of $52 per year.  This tax is assessed to only those who work in Upper Gwynedd Township and is to be deducted at the rate of $1.00 per week (or equivalent) from one's paycheck. The Upper Gwynedd Tax Collector, Erica Koebert, does not collect these taxes.  Both are collected by Berkheimer Tax Administrator. You can contact them by calling 1-800-360-8989 or by visiting their website.
