2024 Arbor Day Tree Giveaway-UPDATE "SOLD OUT"
With winter on its way out and warm weather just around the corner, it’ll soon be time for some spring planting! And what better to plant than a native tree, shrub or wildflower?! Native plants help manage storm water, clean the air, provide food and habitat for critters of all sizes, and beautify our neighborhoods. But you may be wondering, what species should you plant? Well, the Upper Gwynedd Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) has you covered! The EAC is pleased to announce this year’s annual Arbor Day Native Plant Giveaway on Saturday, April 27th. Running from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM by the Pavilion at 1 Parkside Place, residents can choose from several native species to plant at their home or business.
A variety of native trees and shrubs available will be primarily in #3 containers. And this year we are pleased to offer seven native wildflower plant species to choose from. More information on available plants can be found in the 2024 Arbor Day Native Plant Giveaway Guide. Trees and plants are free to township residents and businesses and are limited to 2 trees and 2 wildflowers or 4 wildflowers per household/business. Trees and plants can be reserved by completing the order form below and emailing it to dlogan@uppergwynedd.org (preferred) or by mailing or dropping off your reservation on the below order form. Plants that haven’t been reserved can be picked up in person on April 27th, while supplies last. NO ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE ORDER FORM.
Plants must be picked up between 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM on April 27th. Planting and care instructions will be provided.
