2020 Census

A national census is conducted every ten years. Data collected from the Census not only determines the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives but also how $675 billion dollars in federal funding is allocated annually.  Its count is also used for an accurate and fair redistricting of state legislative seats, county and municipal councils, and voting districts. We encourage all Upper Gwynedd Township residents to take time to learn about the 2020 Census.

The 2020 count will be the first one to allow all households to respond online. Paper forms will still be available, and, for the first time, 1-800 numbers will be available to give responses over the phone. There are also be local job opportunities available to help with distribution of information about the Census and working towards high compliance/participation.

Please see some information below about the 2020 Census, its purpose, and why it is so important.
