Upper Gwynedd Parks and Recreation Program Refund Policy

There are no refunds unless a program is canceled. If paying by credit card, the processing fee will not be refunded for any reason. Upper Gwynedd Township does not collect the processing fee. For those registering for an athletic or outdoor program such as tennis, soccer, basketball, etc.; please be aware, Upper Gwynedd Township Parks and Recreation will reserve one day for a rain out. In the event that there is more than one day rained out, there will be no refund. Upper Gwynedd Township will only host one rain date per program.

PSCTA Tennis Lessons

When: Fall Session: Tuesdays: Sept. 13 -Oct. 11 (make-up 10/18/22) and/or Thursdays:  Sept. 15 – Oct. 13 (make-up 10/20/22)

Tuesdays - 5/6: 5-5:45, 7/8: 5:45-6:30, 9/10: 6:30-7:30

Pick-Up Volleyball

Join us on Saturdays at Garfield Park for pick-up volleyball! Open to all! No registration required. Please wear sneakers and comfortable clothing.

GG League: E-Sports & Gaming

Upper Gwynedd Township Parks and Rec has partnered with GGLeagues to launch our own esports club! Join our club today and connect with other players from Upper Gwynedd Township Parks and Rec and surrounding communities. Games include Fortnite, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, Madden, Mario Kart & more! We have a place for players of all ages and gaming backgrounds.

Registration opens (tentative dates): Week of August 1st, 2022 | Registration end date: September 28th, 2022 | Leagues starts the week of October 3rd, 2022 | Leagues ends the week of November 14th, 2022

Season Pass Price: $40 per person*

*A player only needs to purchase 1 season pass which will unlock all the games offered in the Winter season. If the game is team based, all players will need to purchase a season pass.

Age Divisions: Youth: 8-12, Teen: 13-18, Adult: 18 years and older

Red Cross Babysitting Class:

This certification course provides teens with the confidence and skills to care for youngsters. Prospective employers will be happy to hire babysitters who have acquired this official recognition. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an ARC Certification Card, as well as childcare concepts.  You must attend the entire course, pass the evaluations, and show the maturity to properly care for children. Please bring a lunch pen or pencil.

NEW! Dance Class: Leaps & Beats

Leaps & Beats provides dance instruction for dancers ages 3-5 in a positive, enthusiastic environment. The program encourages students to develop a love for dance while learning ballet, jazz, and hip-hop style dance. In addition, dancers will be encouraged to use their imagination and create their own unique style to the dance floor while incorporating props, dancing to upbeat music, and enjoying fun games!

Let’s Get Messy:

In this parent and child class, you and your child will “get messy” during this fun art class for preschoolers. Kids will dive into playdough, sand, paint, shaving cream, and much more in this 45 minute class filled with fun and creativity! *Please wear old clothes and bring a smock.

Mini Moovers & Groovers

Upper Gwynedd is very excited to be offering this “Parent and Me Class.”  You and your child will be getting our bodies moving with stretches, games, activities and fun relays each week.  Get your preschool child up and moving with this fun filled class taught by Miss Laura. *Please wear comfortable shoes!

Jumpstart T-Birds-T-Ball

Players 3-5 years old learn the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, batting, and base running, and then apply what they have learned in fun, non-competitive games. Sessions are one hour long, one day per week, and include all instruction and game play in one outing. Parent participation is encouraged.

When: Wednesdays, Sept. 7 – Oct. 5

Where:  West Point Park

Time:  5:00 OR 7:00PM (players attend on a rotating schedule)

Fee:  $90 (includes t-shirt, cap, and award)

Pre-School Drawing

Your pre-schooler’s mind is hard at work building the knowledge and skills it will use for a lifetime.  Now, more than ever, it’s important to challenge their curious minds with activities that will keep them engaged and eager to learn!  The Young Rembrandts pre-school program is specifically designed with the needs of our youngest learners in mind.  We use subjects they’re familiar with such as animals and toys, as well as their favorite learning tools - pictures, stories, touching, and doing - to enhance social and conflict resolution skills while improving listening, fine-motor skills, and time-on-task.  Give your pre-schooler the information they’re hungry for and be amazed by what they’ll create! Classes are 45 minutes, with a minimum of 5 students allowed.

Elementary/Cartooning Class

Description: Our elementary learners are at the crucial time of development when they decide whether they’re good at something or not.  This decision will affect not only the rest of their academic career, but their lifetime learning as well.  The Young Rembrandts program provides the tools this age-group needs to succeed at drawing. a teaching tool from which the majority of learners prefer and ALL learners benefit!  Our classes work because it’s not only hands-on and’s simply fun. Our method engages children, their sense of humor and their vivid imaginations. Classes last up to 55 minutes, with a minimum of 5 students allowed.

FALL Engineering 2022 PROGRAMS:

Engineering For Kids - Jr Civil Engineering - Fun Foundations

Building a house to withstand the Big, Bad Wolf is where the fun begins in Junior Civil. This program is centered on exploring the concepts of building and construction through hands-on exploration and design. Students explore the engineering behind sky scrapers, bridges,

roads, and more in this fun and engaging experience.

When: Fridays, Sept. 16-Oct. 21

App. Civil Engineering - Building Up

During the Civil Engineering classes, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a balsawood bridge designed to withstand the greatest force. They examine several different types of bridge designs and discover how the forces of tension, compression, bending, torsion, and shear are distributed throughout their structures
