Pickleball Courts Opened

Upper Gwynedd Township opened their newly constructed pickleball courts this past Saturday, June 24th. Joined by Board of Commissioners Ken Kroberger (President), Steve Sands and Tom Duffy, Vice-President Clare Edelmayer cut the ceremonial ribbon with the help of resident Mary Marzano. Commissioner Jim Santi was unable to attend. T&M Associates (engineers) and Top-A-Court (constructed the courts) were also on hand.

The courts are located adjacent to the existing tennis courts at Parkside Place Park. In May 2017 with the assistance of Triad Associates, the Township received a Montco 2040 Implementation Grant in the amount of $27,000 to be used for constructing lights at the pickleball courts. Lights are anticipated to be added later this summer/early fall.
