The Treasurer/Tax Collector is an elected official of the Township. It is the responsibility of the Treasurer/Tax Collector to collect all County, Township, School, and other taxes within the Township which are levied by the authorities empowered to do so.
The Tax Collector maintains a separate office which is located off of the lobby / vestibule on the administration side in the Township Building. Office hours are Tuesday and Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Additional hours are listed on the back of the tax bill.
The Tax Office is CLOSED on Election Days, Legal Holidays, February 25 - 29, April 28 - May 2, June 9 - 13
If you are a resident of Upper Gwynedd Township you pay a 1% Earned Income Tax. Please be advised that 1/2 % goes to the North Penn School District and 1/2 % goes to Upper Gwynedd Township. The Upper Gwynedd Tax Collector, Jane Murray, does not collect this tax. Berkheimer Earned Income Tax Administrator is the organization that collects this tax.
