The new musical based on the popular film with the same name has
arrived on Broadway. The story follows a young couple, Sam
and Molly, who get mugged while walking home to their New York
apartment one evening. Sam is murdered and becomes trapped in
this world as a ghost who is unable to leave his love Molly as he
has found out she is in danger. A phony storefront psychic,
Oda Mae Brown, tries to help Sam communicate with Molly in the
hopes of saving her.
Music and lyrics by Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics fame and Glen Ballard. Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his Oscar winning screen play for the stage as well as wrote lyrics.
