Leonard T. Perrone, Township Manager
The Township Manager is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Township. Appointed by the Board of Commissioners, the Manager oversees the operation of all Township Departments, with the exception of the Police Department. The coordination and oversight of the daily business of the Township, in association with the Department Heads, falls within the responsibilities of the Township Manager. These departments include: Finance, Code Enforcement, Public Works, Wastewater, Park and Recreation, and Police (budget only).
In addition, the Manager is responsible for the administration of policy decisions and directives that are made by the Board of Commissioners.
The Manager establishes the monthly agendas for discussion and consideration by the Board of Commissioners.
Len Perrone Biographical Information
Born and raised in Montgomery County, PA, Len holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Carolina in Government and Public Administration. In addition, he holds a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from The American University in Government Management. Len began his career in local government in 1977 serving as Assistant to the Manager of the Borough of Lansdale. From 1979 through 1989, he served as the Manager of the Borough of Hatfield. In September 1989, Len assumed the position of Manager of Upper Gwynedd Township. Len is an active member of the International City Managers' Association and has served various regional local government committees.
