The Upper Gwynedd Police Department was created in February, 1951 and for the last 50 years has been committed to our community. Currently the department consists of 20 sworn officers including the Chief of Police, 3 full time investigators, and 15 patrol officers. The department, since its inception, has worked closely with the Township Government, assisting in its traffic planning and development, our business society and their issues, and the youth of our community through the D.A.R.E. program and a Junior Police Academy.
